    On July 21, 2026, a full room in Anchorage spent two hours on one question: what is AI doing to me, my kids, my community? They were asked for one hope, one fear and one hard question each, and pinned them to a corkboard. We have 48 of those entries.

    Thirty-three of the cards here come from that board, in the original handwriting. Six more were written by other teams on the day we built this.

    It was built on August 4, 2026 at the Claude Impact Lab at Alaska Pacific University, by a team who met that afternoon:

    It does not answer the questions. It lays out the tradeoffs, hands you three questions to take away, and tells you where it might be wrong. That's deliberate — one of the cards on this wall asks how we make these tools resist us, to make us stronger rather than making us more comfortable. We took that seriously.
