Practical AI Integration

Intelligence that
earns its place.

We help established organizations solve operational problems with clear thinking, better systems, and AI that handles real friction.

Not an AI agency. Not a chatbot shop. Built for regulated environments, messy data, aging systems, and decisions under pressure.

Capabilities

Four ways to work with us.

01 • Fixed Price • Two Weeks

The AI Reality Check

“We don't know where AI is worth the money or the risk.”

An independent, plain-English read on your operation: where AI is right for you, where it's wrong, and the vendor noise you can safely ignore.

02 • Scoped Project Engagement

The Evidence Build

“The records don't agree, and we need an account we can defend.”

Years of email, files, messages, and financial records unified into one sourced, searchable, and mathematically reconciled record of what actually happened.

03 • Fixed Scope Per Briefing

The Board Brief

“We have to take this to the board, and it has to hold up.”

A hard situation distilled into a briefing a board can decide on. Every number tied to its source, every assumption stated, and the risks named by us before someone else names them.

04 • Monthly Retainer

Fractional Technology Leadership

“Our systems and data need a senior owner, but we don't need a full-time CTO.”

A seasoned technology executive embedded with your team one or two days a week. Own the roadmap, run the systems, and grow your people with zero lock-in.

Case Example: The Evidence Build

When the records
don't agree.

Some questions can't be answered by asking around. When a dispute, an audit, or a wind-down arrives, the records are buried, contradictory, or deleted.

On a recent engagement, we unified 1.1 million emails, messages, and accounting transactions into a single searchable record. We indexed it, machine-triaged it at scale, reconciled conflicting financial ledgers, and built a bulletproof M&A data room where every finding was inextricably linked to its source document.

We treat AI output as a lead, not a fact, until it is verified. Private by design. Processing happens on your hardware.

Leadership

Two people who ran the hard version.

Aaron Morse

Founder and Principal

Software engineer by training (NeXT, Apple's early online store, iTunes engineering). Founded Catapult Consulting and built it into a mobile team serving Apple, Intel, and State Farm. Then spent six years as CEO of a vertically integrated cannabis company in Alaska, steering it through a financial crisis, regulatory trouble, and litigation. He builds Even Reason's AI systems himself.

John Redden

Co-Founder

A lawyer and an operator. Transactional practice in San Francisco, then General Counsel and General Manager of that same regulated company, running compliance, contracts, and risk. He reads a business's legal exposure the way an operator does, because he ran it. Provides counsel-grade judgment on contracts, privacy, and regulatory risk, built into every engagement.

Why "Even Reason"?

Even reason is balanced judgment: between AI hype and AI fear, between what a business says is happening and what is. We are students of the Stoics: control what's yours to control, judge the rest plainly, say the hard thing early, and don't dress any of it up.

Bring one problem worth solving.

A useful first engagement starts with an operating problem, a messy decision, or a process that should be clearer than it is.
